Yoga for Body Awareness and Energy Awakening
This class supports increasing awareness of the movement of energy
throughout the body - and gives you tools to awaken increasing levels of
energy while increasing relaxation. A perfect class for everyone who works
in the world.
Hatha
Yoga to Meditation: A Bridge
The benefits of Hatha Yoga are endless, and include physical well-being,
vitality, health, flexibility, calmness. Yet the most important benefit from
hatha yoga is the ability to meditate more effectively.
This class will carry you from the busy-ness of daily life, through a series
of yoga postures and practices into a period of deep and refreshing stillness in
meditation.
Beginners Yoga
These classes are designed to nurture, calm, and provide a deep
feeling of inner renewal. You'll enjoy expert instruction in Ananda
Yoga, including the essentials of safe technique, enabling you to
continue your practice at home. Learn how to adapt the postures to your
own level of flexibility and experience, while exploring the spiritual
dimensions of hatha yoga and the yoga/meditation connection.
An
Extra-Gentle Approach to Yoga
This class supports healing of body, mind and spirit and is perfect for
those who are working with limitations. You can do yoga! This gentle approach to yoga is
ideal for helping to experience the benefits of increased
flexibility, improved circulation and more energy.
The
postures are geared to suit a variety of skill levels.
In this chair-based series, students will learn to modify postures, in order to stay within the
safe limitations of their bodies.
Breathing
techniques are used to deepen the body’s ability to relax and recharge.
In this class we
will explore:
A simple warm-up
routine that helps to increase flexibility as well as tone areas
of the body.

Intermediate Yoga
Have you been
practicing yoga for awhile and are looking to take your yoga
practice to the next level? Are you wanting to explore yoga
postures as an aid to your own inner awakening?
This class provides a deeper experience of yoga for intermediate
students or advanced beginner, (those who have practiced yoga
postures for at least seven months). This program is physically
satisfying and gives an understanding of postures as a path to
inner awakening.
We will go more deeply into the practice of pranayama (energy control) with each yoga posture. By holding
the postures longer we will deepen the inner experience of breath,
energy flows, and affirmations. We will also have short discussions
of yoga postures that relate to yoga philosophy and delve into
making yoga a much more integral part of your life.
